Seedlings!

The first of the spring seedlings have emerged! I'm so happy. Here are some pictures!

The seedling setup in the kitchen:

Onions:

Kale, Red Russian:

Broccoli, Early Green:

Lettuce, Black Seeded Simpson:

Roque D'Hiver Lettuce:

Lettuce, Yugoslavian Red:

I have a couple of other kinds of lettuce, and also Sweet Alyssum which has come up. I'm starting some Mountain Laurel, Butterfly Weed, Red Milkweed and Leeks, we'll see how they come up!

I would love to have my lights in the kitchen, but I think my husband would glare at me too much ;> Your seedlings are looking great.

Thanks Daphne! My husband has an entire cave, er, I mean, office in the basement, so he hardly has room to complain!!! I really hope the seedlings keep on going great! I started everything later this year because I had a hard time keeping them healthy until I put them out. We'll see!

Your seedling setup looks great. I have finally purchased a shelf to set up the same way- after losing too many seedlings to kitties that like to lie on top of them. The new shelf will go in the basement- a kitty-free zone.

That is a nice setup for growing seeds you have in your kitchen. Wish I had that much room. I settle for the end of the kitchen table.
